Sicily without a car: my experience after six independent trips
I've visited Sicily six times without renting a car. Over the years, I have travelled across the island using only trains, buses, ferries and my own two feet. From Palermo and Cefalù to Syracuse, Ragusa and Modica, from Trapani, Erice and the Egadi Islands to the Aeolian Islands and even Lampedusa, I have explored beaches, baroque towns, volcanic islands and remote hiking destinations entirely by public transport.
